Who We AreThe ECC is an after-school treble choir based in Evanston, accepting young people grades 2-12 from all over the Greater Chicago area. We sing all types of both secular and sacred music, with an emphasis on multiculturalism. We strive to make the choir as accessible as possible, both to new members and to our audience. Accordingly, we do not turn any child away because of money, and we offer our outreach performances and self-produced concerts free of charge. Our rehearsal location is the Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes St., Studio 107, in Evanston. Beginning with the 2010-2011 Season the ECC will consist of four choirs at three different levels: Junior Choir 1 and Junior Choir 2 (entry level), the Main Choir (upper level), and the Concert Choir (advanced level, subset of Main Choir). The choirs meet at the following times:
- Main Choir: Tuesdays, 4:15 to 5:15
- Concert Choir: Tuesdays, 4:15 to 5:45
- Junior Choir 1: Fridays, 4:15 to 5:15
- Junior Choir 2: Mondays, 4:15 to 5:15
Our Fall Semester 2010 begins the first Tuesday after Labor Day. See "Join Us" for details, and contact us now to be sure to get a spot! The ECC is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
